This house, built in 1720, is where the widow Louise von Lengefeld resided with her daughters Caroline and Charlotte, Schiller’s later wife. In 1788 Goethe and Schiller met here. The museum tells the story of this encounter, which became so consequential for international cultural history. The exhibition focuses on Schiller and the two young women.
